| My
Charlottesville base camp. The American tea house trend seems to be more about fancy cucumber sandwiches, ladies in hats, and expensive biscuit trays (think Ritz Carlton). That's why I love the Twisted Branch. Zero pretentiousness. It is all about the tea. Now, you could argue that the Indian/Asian/Middle Eastern theme is just as gimmicky as going high society English wannabe…but for me, the décor works and seems authentic, comfortable. It is the best, most honest tea house I've ever run across. Granted not in Richmond, but worth the short drive. Wifi is even offered. |

Richmond, VA 23221 (804) 358-8327 |
| The most thorough collection of loose leaf tea in town. They carry everything from white to red to green to black first flush Darjeeling to even Monkey picked oolong. Everything is free trade, and the friendly owner is very much passionate about tea. My favorite tea shop in town (not that there's much choice). |

Richmond Good
Life :: Tea
Richmond Virginia (VA) Good Cup of Tea

Here is a complete list of tea
resources in town including retail establishments. For this Good
Life listing, I have omitted coffee shops that happen to sell tea (ie, tea
bags + hot water...don't care how fancy the container tin or silky bag). This
page is reserved for the purveyors of fine loose leaf
tea. For a complete list of coffee shops see Richmond
