Hanover Humane Society Hanover Humane Society is a nonprofit organization. We are NOT affiliated with Animal Control or the County Pound. Animals enter our system either as strays, owner surrenders, or from the Hanover County Pound. These animals are given medical care, spayed or neutered, then placed in a foster home, and brought to adoption stands and given visibility on our website until they find a “forever” home.
Henrico Humane Society Our non-profit organization is run solely by volunteers. These volunteers give numerous hours to homeless pets that have been rescued in addition to their own work and family duties. Their only reward is in knowing that they have helped to provide warm and loving homes to animals in need. Please have patience with these hard-working, caring individuals.
Hickory Hill K-9 Rescue Hickory Hill K9 Rescue was started to help the overwhelming amount of animals that are abandoned, surrendered to county agencies and simply not wanted any more. These animals are facing death a lot of times due to no fault of their own other than not being convenient anymore. Our mission is to help stop the unnecessary killing of animals.
Operation Catnip Operation Catnip is a non-profit, all volunteer organization committed to humanely reducing feral and stray cat overpopulation through trap-neuter-return (TNR).

P.A.L. plans to accomplish this goal by providing high quality, affordable, and accessible spay/neuter services to the public without regard to income or geography.
Richmond Animal League Richmond Animal League will be the leader in Chesterfield County in providing homeless animals with temporary housing, medical treatment, sterilization, and quality care until they are adopted to permanent, loving homes. Our commitment to no-kill will be promoted through educational programs that teach the importance of spay/neuter, responsible pet ownership, and compassion for companion animals.
Richmond Animal Shelter Our shelter is always wanting to improve in every way -- whether it be to enhance our pet quarters, to purchase pooper-scoopers for our dog walkers, or to pay for that necessary surgery to fix a cat's broken leg. Cash donations are the means in which we are able to do these things that cannot be covered with normal City operating funds. It is through kind donations like yours that we are able to make our shelter a better place for animals and people alike!

other wildlife and habitat through birding, education, advocacy, and fellowship.

The organization was formed in September 1996 in response to reports of inhumane treatment and negligence at the Richmond Animal Shelter, the city shelter financed by tax dollars. Since that time, SOS has rescued thousands of unwanted animals.
Somebuddies Somebuddies was founded in 1998. We would love to see each and every pet have a warm and loving home, but that is only a dream and not reality.
