Active Gray Matter  Active Gray Matter is a community business incubator designed for people with disabilities and/or chronic illnesses. Our mission is to increase self-sufficiency and independence through business ownership. Based virtually on the Internet, we offer tools, coaching, support and resources to help you succeed in starting and running a business. 
Community-Based Services, Inc. Community-Based Services, Inc. is a private not-for-profit corporation which develops and operates residential programs and support services for adults with developmental disabilities who are eligible for services from the Metro Richmond Community Services Boards and Behavioral Health Authorities.
Easter Seals Virginia Easter Seals Virginia provides exceptional services to ensure that all people with disabilities or special needs and their families have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play in their communities.
Good Neighbor Village  To provide a residential opportunity in a community setting for adults with mild to moderate retardation. The Village exists to meet with comfort and dignity, the housing, administrative, fellowship and community needs of the residents as they strive to be, to the best of their ability, productive and independent members of the community.
The Greater Richmond ARC Purpose is to improve the quality of life for persons with mental retardation and similarly disabling conditions through advocacy, early intervention, services and community education. Provides a variety of programs including: Camp Baker Services, Civitan Workshop, Infant Child Development Services, Adult Services Center/Day Health Rehabilitation. 
Hanover Adult Center Hanover Adult Center is a private, non profit, community based program that provides care for adults of all ages with special needs. The Adult Day Services program provides comprehensive and affordable day care for adults with special needs. Services include: Socialization and Therapeutic Activities, Health Maintenence and Personal Care, Education and Emotional Support for caregivers. 
Hanover Arc Services to assist young children with developmental delays and persons with mental retardation include: special education summer school scholarships, adult recreation program, respite care, individual/family support, adaptive equipment lending library. Volunteers enable HARC to improve the lives of 100 persons annually with disabilities. 
Hanover Youth Service Council (HYSC) The Hanover Youth Services Council is a group of middle and high school students selected from across the county whose purpose is to promote community involvement and volunteerism among the youth of Hanover County. The Council meets regularly to plan and implement a variety of service projects. They are most known for their annual county-wide school supply drive through which they provide boxes of supplies to every elementary school each September. Additional service projects have included a literacy project at a local library, park beautification, volunteering at a therapeutic recreation program for adults with mental disabilities and helping at a respite care facility for children with physical and mental disabilities. 
Jewish Family Services JFS is a forward-thinking health and social service agency dedicated to helping people achieve their full potential, regardless of age, race, religion or circumstances.  Programs include Home Health Care, Counseling, Care Management, Wee Care, Adoption, Services for the Developmentally Disabled and Intern Training Program. 
Lutheran Family Services  At Lutheran Family Services of Virginia, we believe in families.  That’s why we help create families with adoption and foster care services. Scottish Rite Childhood Language Center Our mission is to provide speech, language, fluency, voice, hearing and auditory processing disorder evaluations and treatment to children, with fees based on their families' ability to pay. 
Special Olympics of Virginia To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Spiritos School At Spiritos School, located in Midlothian, Virginia, our mission is to create a wealth of individualized instructional and treatment experiences that provide continual educational programming in an atmosphere of love and acceptance for children with autism and developmental delay.
Sportable: Richmond Adaptive Sports and Recreation  Sportable is a not for profit organization focused on providing recreation and sports opportunities for individuals with physical disabilities in the Richmond area.
Therapeutic Riding Association of Virginia

To further the medical, therapeutic, recreational and social stimulation derived through horseback riding for people with disabilities.

Virginia Association of the Deaf The mission of the Virginia Association of the Deaf is to promote, protect, and preserve the rights and quality of life of Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Virginia Board for People with Disabilities  VBPD serves as Virginia's Developmental Disabilities (DD) Planning Council. DD Councils are in every state and territory of the United States. They work for the benefit of individuals with DD and their families to identify needs and help develop policies, programs and services that will meet these needs in a manner that respects dignity and independence.
Virginia Voice for the Print Handicapped Using a special radio system, the agency broadcasts daily the reading of current printed material for the benefit of those who cannot read for themselves because of visual impairment or other physical disability. With the use of a specially-tuned radio, each day a growing number of print handicapped --currently in excess of 1,000-- are able to "read" the daily newspaper and their favorite magazines. Each week about 100 volunteers produce 91 hours of programming consisting of readings from more than 100 publications.
