Goochland Fire and Rescue

Goochland Fire-Rescue consists of six fire and rescue squads which are housed and function together to provide fire protection and emergency medical care.
This arrangement not only avoids costly duplication of buildings and equipment, but provides our volunteers the option to be cross-trained in both fire and rescue skills. More than half of our volunteers can perform in both capacities. |

| Powhatan Fire |
Powhatan County Fire Department is made up of five volunteer fire companies with about 130 volunteers and the Powhatan County Fire Administration Office which consists of a part-time paid fire chief and a full time office manager. The fire department responds to emergency and non-emergency calls and we feel the fire stations are the center of each community in the county and we feel the fire department is here to assist the citizens any way we can.
