A.C.O.R.N. achieves this by promoting — to individuals of all income levels — the purchase and renovation of vacant and abandoned properties and advocates for the preservation of the cultural and historic assets that give these old neighborhoods their unique character.

Rebuilding Together Petersburg Rebuilding Together Petersburg is a neighborhood revitalization program. Rebuilding Together Petersburg is affiliated with Rebuilding Together, the nation’s largest volunteer organization preserving and revitalizing low-income houses and communities. 
Rebuilding Together Richmond  Rebuilding Together of Richmond (formerly Christmas in April) is an affiliate of the national Rebuilding Together organization. It is a volunteer-based program that repairs and rehabilitates homes and non-profit community facilities. We help low income, elderly, and disabled people who own their homes but are unable to maintain them.
Southside Community Development and Housing Corporation SCDHC strives to raise economic, educational, and social levels of the area residents; expand opportunities available to these groups through adequate low-cost housing; provide them with the necessary skills to survive independently as effective members of society; and, share wisdom and knowledge so they can start their own entrepreneurial ventures.
